Explanation

This dashboard allows users to select diverse performance measures for comparison of schools. These measures include Two Year Student Growth (2015-2017), 2016-2017 NDSA Achievement for English Language Arts (ELA) and Math, the percentage of students indicating that they are “Committed” in their educational experience on the 2017 Student Engagement Survey, and 2016-2017 District Per Pupil Funding. Results may be displayed for all K-12 public schools in North Dakota or for Elementary Schools, Middle Schools, or High Schools in the state.

Student Achievement: North Dakota’s State Assessment (NDSA) results for Student Achievement for students attending public schools in the 3rd grade through the 8th grade by subject for English Language Arts (ELA) and Math.

Two Year Student Growth: North Dakota’s student assessment growth rate shows how the students performed in NDSA by subject across the two years.

Committed Student Engagement: (Authentic Engagement) – The student volunteers resources under his/her control (time, effort and attention.) The student is attentive to the task because he/she finds personal meaning and value in the task. The student persists with the task even when he/she experiences difficulty and does not compromise personal standards for the completion of the task. (Schlechty Center for Leadership in School Reform)

District Per Pupil Funding: These are the reported costs for instruction, administration, and operation and maintenance of plant by the total average daily membership for the school districts.

To protect student privacy, data for schools who have less than 10 students will not be displayed.
