College developmental coursework (a.k.a. remedial coursework) are courses designed to prepare students currently attending college for college level courses in mathematics and English language arts (ELA). Developmental coursework is credit bearing, however, as the courses typically have course numbers less than 100 the course credits do not apply toward a degree program. The following visualizations depict details about our high school graduates enrolling in North Dakota University System colleges and universities.

Descriptions of the visualizations are as follows:

  • English Enrollment: These graphs represent the percentage of North Dakota public high school graduates enrolling in postsecondary ELA developmental courses within 4, 12 and 16 months of high school graduation.
  • Math Enrollment: These graphs represent the percentage of North Dakota public high school graduates enrolling in postsecondary math developmental courses within 4, 12 and 16 months of high school graduation.
  • Enrollment by Institution Type: These graphs show the percentage of students as described above disaggregated by type of NDUS institution attended (community college, regional or research institution).
