Critical Initiative
  • All students will receive Tier 1 regular classroom instruction in Reading and Math.
  • By spring of 2024, 20% of MR K-2 student will be on or above grade level in iReady Math
  • By spring of 2024, 30% of MR K-2 student will be on or above grade level in iReady Reading
  • By spring of 2024, MR 3-5 grade students will be 30% proficient on the NDSA ELA.
  • By spring of 2024, MR 3-5 students will be 20% proficient on the Math NDSA
  • Missouri Ridge will provide one hour of the weekly schedule for each teacher to meet with his or her grade level peers.
  • MR will use Panorama to track student achievement, attendance, logs, and interventions and report out build wide at least three times per year.

  • Learning opportunities will be provided for students outside the traditional classroom, such as; Outdoor Classroom, FACS Room, STEAM Lab, and field trips.
  • MR is 1:1 chromebooks and each teacher uses a Smart Board.
  • MR will implement project based learning and innovation in each classroom.
  • MR will require a STEAM class for all grades.
  • MR will use a variety of instructional applications and programs that are on Coyonet and district approved.
Critical Initiative
  • All student will receive instruction in S.E.L. skills at least 3 days a week during morning meeting.
  • MR will continue to host activities for all stakeholders to promote family engagement.
  • Staff members will be encouraged to participate in student incentives.
  • Utilize RAPTOR technologies and SRP safety protocols to train staff and provide drills for students and staff to prepare for different scenerios.
  • We will revise and implement the Missouri Ridge HAWKS Behavior Flowchart to be distributed to all students and staff.

The Strategy Map has been created in collaboration with The North Dakota Department of Public Instruction and Cognia™.

All schools in North Dakota participate in a Continuous Improvement process. Continuous Improvement means examining a school’s current reality including demographics, culture, technology, finances, and academic progress, among many other factors. In addition, Continuous Improvement means looking into the future and predicting what may change – what will be different a year from now, or 10 years from now.

 

During the 2018-2019 school year, all schools in North Dakota participated in this Continuous Improvement journey. School personnel participated in training and collaborated with diverse stakeholders such as community members, teachers, parents and students to map out what the school’s priorities are, what the school’s objectives are and what critical initiatives needed to be implemented to achieve those objectives. This planning process resulted in a Strategy Map – a 3 to 5-year plan for the school.

 

It is important to note that the Strategy Map is a snapshot in time. It is documentation of what the school’s priorities were the past school year. In this case the Strategy Map below was captured and submitted on May 1, 2019. It is equally important to note that the Strategy Map below may have changed since its submittal. This is because priorities may have changed quickly depending on numerous factors. Factors can include, but are not limited to, a natural disaster, a high staff turn-over rate, or an influx or decrease of students.
