Costs Per Pupil

NDDPI provides data on how much is spent per student for all K-12 public schools in North Dakota. This information shows how much of the total per-student spending comes from federal, state, and local funding sources. The public might find it helpful to compare student spending at the school to the district and state-level data made available for reporting. Additionally, to comply with ESEA section 1111(h)(1)(C)(x) and (2)(C), North Dakota must share per-pupil expenditures (PPE) for each school, school district, and the State. The per-pupil expenditure (PPE) report includes both personnel and non-personnel expenditures. The PPE datasets are available as a downloadable Excel spreadsheet on the State’s website at https://insights.nd.gov/Data.
