LRSC - Why Choose

Why Choose LRSC

Lake Region State College provides pathways to success for students of all ages. A student seeking fast entry into the workforce can choose a technical program that leads to an excellent career path in two years or less. LRSC is also a smart choice for a student seeking a bachelor’s degree or still deciding on a major because the first half of almost any bachelor’s degree can be earned at the college.

Athletics
LRSC boasts successful National Junior College Athletics Association Division I men’s and women’s basketball teams. Other sports offered include volleyball, softball, baseball, e-sports, clay target, and ice hockey.

Distinctive Programs
The Simulator Maintenance Technology program is one of only a handful of programs of its kind offered in the United States.

The Wind Energy Technician, Simulator Maintenance Technician, American Sign Language and Interpreting Studies, Peace Officer Training and Law Enforcement programs are one-of-a-kind, two-year programs in North Dakota.

Transferring Students
Students can earn the first half of almost any bachelor’s degree at LRSC. Transferring from one North Dakota college or university to another is relatively seamless with the General Education Requirement Transfer Agreement and Common Course Numbering.

Points of Pride

The new Hofstad Agriculture Center houses a revamped Ag program to offer multiple degree and certificate programs while working with area Ag businesses to provide a state-of-the-art experience.

Besides the Hofstad Center, LRSC is hosted in two other beautiful buildings. The Bergstrom Technical Center houses our high-tech Dakota Nursing Program and many of the other CTE programs.

LRSC - Sydney

Sydney Beneda

"Going to college can be stressful if making new friends is not a strong suit for you, but because LRSC is a smaller campus, you make friends easily by being involved in many of the same activities as other students. I would also say that even though the campus is not small, there is no shortage of activities or groups to be a part of. There was not any member of the staff who was anything but kind and helpful during my time at LRSC!”
