There is always plenty to do at WSC! Get involved by joining one of the seventeen student organizations, attend the numerous student life activities, cheer on Teton athletics with friends or reach your fitness goal with a free Williston Area Recreation Center membership. WSC truly has something for everyone!

Location

WSC is located in Williston, a community of around 30,000, near the confluence of the Yellowstone and Missouri rivers. The area is supported by an economic base that includes agriculture, energy, and regional medical facilities. The surrounding countryside offers unique opportunities for hiking, cycling, canoeing, fishing, hunting, and one of the best public golf courses in the nation.

The Area

Northwestern North Dakota is rich in history, farming, ranching, and oil exploration and is the hub of the Lewis & Clark Trail. Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Fort Union, Fort Buford, and the confluence center historic sites are within minutes of the college campus. In addition to these historical sites, students can visit the James Memorial Arts Center to view current art, get involved in theatre productions through Entertainment Inc./Youth Education on Stage, or volunteer for one of the many area clubs or organizations.

Admission Requirements

WSC is an open-enrollment college. High school graduates or GED completers are eligible to apply for admission.

WSC's early entry program allows high school sophomores, juniors and seniors opportunities to take college-level courses and receive both college and high school credit at a reduced tuition rate.

  • If accepting a student loan for the first time, complete Online Entrance Loan Counseling and your Direct Loan MPN at studentaid.gov
  • Notify financial aid if recieving an outside Student Loan

December

Our scholarships offer regional students a life-changing opportunity to learn. There are 51 counties in North Dakota and Montana that can qualify for the tuition and fees scholarship.

WSC students can be job-ready in a high-demand career or technical field in two years or less or transfer to a four-year university with junior status after earning an associate degree. Through collaborative efforts with North Dakota universities, WSC students can also complete select bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Williston. Classes are offered on campus or online to help meet educational goals.

Our faculty are experts in their fields and dedicated to helping students learn. Students at WSC have access to the ARC, a 250,000 sq ft rec center, Teton athletics games and over a dozen student organizations for out of the classroom experiences. We have state-of-the art facilities, great scholarships, and resources to help you succeed.

WSC is also the headquarters for TrainND Northwest. TrainND works with business, industry, government agencies, and non-profits to assess training needs and to deliver timely, relevant, cost effective` training that maximizes employee productivity and improves entity performance. Training can be customized to teach employees new skills, and to retrain or update existing skills.
